US woman killed in Nepal

An American lady who apparently touched base in Nepal to help the seismic tremor survivors has been killed, police said.

Dahlia Yehia, a 25-year-old US national, had landed in Kathmandu on 20 July – almost three months after a 7.8 extent tremor killed more than 8,500 individuals in Nepal. CNN reported that she came to Nepal to help the quake survivors.

In any case, Yehia was pounded the life out of by a Nepali man whom she had met in Pokhara through a site, as indicated by the Kaski police.

DSP Govinda Adhikari told Nepali Times that Narayan Poudel, a neighborhood educator who facilitated Yehia in Pokhara, confessed to killing her and tossing her body into the Seti waterway. In any case, her body has not been discovered yet.

After Yehia disappeared, her family had reached the US consulate in Kathmandu for help. The government office had educated the Kaski police about the case on 28 August.
